A Master of arts in Psychology, Sociology, Defence Studies and his research on the "Personality profile of cricket player in relation to Neuroticism and Locus of control" has been awarded him a PhD degree. He also took a Diploma in Cricket coaching from National Institute of Sports and has been coaching and teaching since 1985.He has developed more than 500 training drills to train different techinques of Batting,Bowling,fielding,wicket-keeping and physical-condioning.

A discerning umpire authored a first book in question-answer form on laws of cricket in 1993. He is highly respected and experienced coach in the Field of cricket coaching, worked at different places in a country, had been coaching / teaching / training-coaches, cricket players, umpires.
